Question 1

What is the difference between Aviron and Ergatta?

Accepted Answer

Aviron uses dual air + magnetic resistance with 16 precision levels, has a 22-inch pivoting touchscreen, offers streaming apps (Netflix, YouTube, Spotify), live multiplayer, thousands of workouts across 8 categories, patented adjustable foot pads, zero maintenance, and a 20-year warranty. Ergatta uses water resistance (not adjustable mid-workout), has a fixed 21-inch screen, no streaming apps, no live multiplayer, and a 5-year warranty. Ergatta's advantage is its wood frame.

Question 2

Is water resistance more realistic than air + magnetic?

Accepted Answer

Water resistance feels smooth but you cannot adjust it mid-workout without physically changing the water level. Aviron's dual system gives you smooth, natural resistance AND 16 precision levels that change with a single tap.

Question 3

Which rower looks better in a living room: Aviron or Ergatta?

Accepted Answer

The wood frame has visual appeal for some buyers. But the Aviron has a sleek modern design, stores fully upright without a wall mount, and is actually shorter (83.5" vs 86"). At this price, performance outlasts aesthetics.

Question 4

How are Aviron's games different from Ergatta's?

Accepted Answer

Both have game-based workouts. Aviron's games have animated graphics and storylines. Ergatta's use data-visualization charts. Both platforms now offer classes and scenic rows — Aviron adds streaming apps and live multiplayer on top.

Question 5

Which rower is easier to maintain: Aviron or Ergatta?

Accepted Answer

Aviron requires zero maintenance — it uses a sealed air and magnetic resistance system with a commercial-grade belt drive. There is nothing to fill, drain, or treat. Ergatta runs on a water tank that needs regular refilling, purification tablets to prevent algae buildup, and full draining any time you move the machine.

Question 6

What happens if you cancel an Aviron membership?

Accepted Answer

You can still use the rower for basic workouts, streaming apps, and metrics tracking. The membership unlocks the full library of 1,000+ games, classes, and competitions.

Question 7

How hard is it to assemble Aviron?

Accepted Answer

30-60 minutes, all tools included. White Glove Delivery ($299) is available if you prefer professional setup.

Question 8

Can you use HSA or FSA to buy Aviron?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Aviron is HSA/FSA eligible through Truemed. You can save 30-40% by paying with pre-tax health funds at checkout.
